This week’s Total Divas took place around the time of WWE Elimination Chamber. And while Ronda Rousey successfully defended her RAW Women’s Championship at that pay-per-view back in February, the rest of her Total Divas cast members were more focused on the prospect of becoming the inaugural WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions (in a match that took place inside the Elimination Chamber structure).

Especially Ronda’s friend Natalya, who was frustrated that she wouldn’t be allowed to compete in the match. After all, her tag team partner—Ronda Rousey herself—was otherwise occupied on her “Road to WrestleMania” at the time. But Ronda wasn’t too busy to realize that Natalya may have been focusing so much on this particular issue—and work, in general—as a way to distract herself from her the passing of her father, WWE Hall of Famer Jim “The Anvil” Neidhart.

Ronda opened up to the Total Divas audience about how she lost her father to suicide* when she was eight years old. She explained how Natalya’s behavior and focus on work reminded her of how her mother handled her grief in a similar way.

Like the Total Divas season premiere, most of Ronda’s time was spent on Browsey Acres, safely away from the total drama. (Especially Nia Jax’s shit-stirring and people attacking Carmella for allegedly being a “homewrecker.”)

Ronda and Travis kicked off the episode making up somewhat off-key songs about how much they love each other. Then the power of music struck again to confirm just how much they want to have a baby, as they watched Marina’s adorable son Troy dance to “Woken” Matt Hardy’s entrance music.
