As you may already know, Ronda Rousey has a wide range of talents. One such talent? Cooking!

Alright, she’s not exactly a master chef—yet—but she’s got some skills in the kitchen. She is, however, a master prepper. After all, Browsey Acres is her and husband Travis Browne’s home for when the sky falls. Which leads us to the first episode of Ronda’s (Quarantine) Kitchen. While you’ve surely been enjoying original recipe Ronda’s Kitchen, think of this as a pandemic-related Darkchild Remix. First order of business? Refrigerator pickling.

Check it out:

As mentioned in the video, the basic pickling ingredients are as follows:

  • Vinegar (white or apple cider, need to use at least 5% acidity)
  • Sugar
  • Kosher salt, do not use iodized table salt
  • About a ⅔ cup vinegar to ⅓ cup water ratio is best to keep from diluting vinegar
  • Canning jars
  • aromatics/seasonings depending on flavor you want

Watch the video and take a look at the video notes on YouTube for more of the specific (such as garlic dill pickles and sweet & spicy pickled radish, among others) pickling recipes. Stay safe, Rowdy Ones!
