Social media was abuzz when news of Ronda Rousey voicing Sonya Blade in Mortal Kombat 11 was announced last January. And the opportunity to serve as the mouthpiece for one of the video game world’s toughest female fighters, of course, had Ronda extremely excited.

In 2015, The Kicker’s YouTube channel had its own plans for putting Ronda into a fighting video game. The website put together a custom Street Fighter II video featuring Ronda as militant assassin Cammy “Killer Bee” White. They even added some Ronda-like trash talk to the character dialogue screens.

Much like Sonya Blade, Cammy White is a character that shares many of the same combat skills as Ronda. In fact, The fighting similarities are a major part of Ronda’s connection to the MK11 Sonya character.

“I literally did everything that I could to grow up to be Sonya Blade. This is the closest that I could get to being Sonya Blade in real life,” Ronda said. “If people did come to Earth and was like, ‘send us your best warriors,’ I would totally be one of those warriors. I am totally ready to defend Earthrealm. Finally, my chance has come.”

Why stop at voicing one video game character? Wouldn’t it be cool to actually see Ronda as a butt-kicking blonde in a Street Fighter video game?
