Last night, Ronda Rousey made her first appearance as LAFD firefighter Lena Bosko on FOX’s 9-1-1. In fact, Ronda made her presence known from the very first scene of the episode, when Lena and her crew of firefighters (which included Buffy the Vampire Slayer‘s Leonard Roberts) came to the aid of an unconscious costumed man at the Santa Monica pier, as was briefly seen last week in the 9-1-1 season three premiere.

If you remember the news about this particular season of 9-1-1, you might immediately realize the fact that Lena and crew were at the Santa Monica pier meant that things obviously went from fortunate to unlucky pretty quickly. Yep, pretty soon after they appeared is when the season’s catastrophic event—a tsunami in SoCal—hit, and Lena and her partners ended up getting caught in the monstrous wave.

However, they managed to make it through the wave alive, albeit separated. Lena, specifically, ended up on the Ferris wheel, where the LAFD team of Brian Krause’s Bobby and Ryan Guzman’s Eddie (immediately charmed by Lena’s no-nonsense attitude in all this chaos) eventually met her. But that was right before the wave that caused all of this wreckage and destruction began to come back toward the sea…

You can watch this season of 9-1-1 on FOX, FOX.com, and Hulu.
