Ronda Rousey Gives Stephen Colbert a Crash Course on Sonya Blade

Ronda Rousey’s second appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert didn’t involve any Star Wars or shark discussion. But don’t worry: She was able to keep things just as nerdy and badass this time around. And she did it all in a black leather jumpsuit. (Or, a “skintight leather catsuit,” according to a very impressed Colbert.)

Appearing on this past Friday’s episode of The Late Show, Ronda took some time away from Browsey Acres to hype the Mortal Kombat 11 video game, which—as we all know by now—features Ronda as the one and only (kind of like Ricochet) Sonya Blade.

But before she could talk about representing the Earthrealm in this new game, Ronda had to address the elephant—or the very obvious cast—in the room. Not only did she remind us of her WrestleMania 35 declaration that tables are, in fact, for bitches, she let Stephen Colbert do something she apparently has never let anyone else do before: sign her cast.

Then, it was down to business. Obviously, Ronda already dressed from the job she wanted (and had) as Sonya Blade. 21 years of fighting led to this, as Ronda explained why Sonya was the Mortal Kombat character that meant so much to her growing up.

“I wanted to grow up and be the strongest woman on Earth.”

And that dream obviously came true for Ronda Rousey, in more ways than one.
