Ronda on the Road… Trip! (Do you get it?)

This week on Ronda on the Road… Trip (Episode 1, “Ronda and Julia on the Road to Pick Up New Dog Aloy”): Julia is out of college and Ronda needs to go to Chicago to pick up a new puppy named after the character of her favorite video game, Horizon Zero Dawn! Join Ronda and Julia for a cross-country pandemic-proof road trip for adventures, bickering, and big laughs!

Hi there, Rowdy Ones! It’s me, Julia De Mars, Ronda Rousey’s road trip buddy and literal sister from another mister. If you have not already seen the first RV road trip episode, do that now.

I’ll wait.

Oh, wait—here’s the episode. Check it out:

So, that was fun, right? Well, you haven’t seen the half of it yet. On this COVID-safe journey to pick up Ronda’s new puppy, Aloy, you’ll see my sister and I take our last trip together before she embarks on the wild trip that is motherhood.

You may or may not be surprised, but I get the question a lot: “What is it like to have a sister like yours?” And now, I never have to try and answer it again because you can just see for yourself. It’s not a hard question to answer, but it is hard sometimes to convince people that it’s pretty much just like any other sisterhood…

SISTERHOOD OF THE TRAVELING RV!

Again, get it? (source: Warner Bros. Pictures)

Sorry. Had to get it out of my system.

Anyway, we’re pretty normal. We goof, we fight (mostly over GPS directions), we take week-long road trips without one of us notifying the other that, in fact, two dogs will be joining us for the drive back. (It was all good—I love dogs.) We also have deep talks that I instigate and, in retrospect, really don’t remember what the hell I was talking about. (I think the getting up early thing was messing with my emotions or something.)

In watching just this first episode, I bet you already know the answer to your question. What it’s really like having a sister like mine is basically her singing about my IBS any chance she gets. But ya know what? I guess I’ve got no shame in my toilet game because of it. So actually, it is pretty cool.

That’s my long-short way of saying this road trip will give you a look into what it’s like to hang out with us stuck in an RV for a week. Now, aside from sisterly bonding fun, you should watch the rest of these Ronda on the Road… Trip episodes as they release for more terrible singing, local coffee shop ratings, and maybe a few tears.

Stay tuned to see if we make it to Ohio and back without crashing. But also, if you enjoy my random commentary, come back for more diary entries about our road trip.

If you have absolutely no clue who I am, I’m not surprisedbut I’ve actually been around for a while! If you don’t believe me, revisit the TABLES official trailer to see the beginning of how I got here. Personally, I highly suggest the TABLES gag reel video instead:

I’m “& Crew.” – Julia
