Heading into this match, the RAW Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey was upset with Becky Lynch for getting suspended and possibly ruining the build to their WrestleMania main event. Unfortunately for The Riott Squad, they had to deal with the physical ramifications of that anger. First up? Poor Liv Morgan.

The rest of Riott Squad were obviously out at ringside to support Liv Morgan, and Liv had a strategy. Her strategy? “Mind games,” in the form of running out of the ring—multiple times—to immediately avoid Ronda’s offense. In fact, even when finally decided to get to work and get her head in the game, she immedaitely ran out of the ring as soon as Ronda landed one strike.

After that, it was time for the typical Riott Squad strategy, with Sarah Logan coming up to the apron to distract Ronda. It was a sound strategy, and usually it would work to perfection; but instead, it only helped Liv for a few seconds before she ended up taking a barrage of punches from Ronda and then a quick armbar for the submission loss.

Immediately after her win, Ronda Rousey got on the microphone to call out anyone who wanted to boo her and do nothing about it, as well as the other Riott Squad members on the outside of the ring. “Someone do something,” she demanded, and surprisingly, Sarah Logan answered the challenge…

Sarah Logan showed no fear in going after the frustrated champ, but that also resulted in her almost immediately tapping out to an armbar. Luckily for Logan, she was able to get to the bottom rope, and with that, her teammates were able to help grab her to safety on the outside. Logan definitely put up more of a fight in this match, but after a few more devastating punches from Ronda and another armbar, she was down for the count too.

As Michael Cole noted on commentary, Ronda Rousey was “in a mood” tonight, taking all of her frustration about the Becky Lynch situation and any negative reactions toward her out on The Riott Squad. Ruby Riott then teased coming into the ring to complete the trilogy of Ronda Rousey vs. The Riott Squad, but… Yes, only teased it. Despite getting on the apron, Ruby instead chose to go to the back with her Squad members.

Backstage, Dasha Fuentes was pretty blunt about that, asking Ruby, “Why would you essentially run away from Ronda?” But Ruby said she didn’t run away, because she 100% believes that she can beat Ronda Rousey. But when she does, it’ll have to be for the RAW Women’s Championship. Plus, both Liv Morgan and Sarah Logan were clearly hurt and needed their friend’s help.

Ruby added that Ronda an is “opportunist” that understands nothing about friendship and being there for your friends, so she couldn’t possibly understand that. Ronda saw all of this on the TitanTron as it happened, and one thing was clear: That definitely didn’t help her mood.
