Hell in a Cell 2018: Ear’s Looking at You, Kid

Upsettingly but also unsurprisingly, Randy Orton chose to take his confrontation with Jeff Hardy in Hell in a Cell a step too far. And somehow, that still wasn’t enough to end the damn match and put Hardy away for good. So, was it even worth it?

Of all the ways Orton and Hardy attempted to destroy each other in this match, no one could have possibly imagined the inclusion of household tools. (Okay, maybe a hammer or even pliers…) But once Orton saw that toolbox underneath the ring, the voices inside his head were laser-focused on the next course of action he would have to take to put Hardy down.

One screwdriver later, Orton was back at a familiar well in the form attacking Hardy’s ear piercing. Only this time, instead of his finger, he decided to jam said screwdriver into the ear hole, twisting the cartilage around, mangling this delicate body part for his own sick pleasure. Just torturing Jeff Hardy in an unimaginable way.

I suppose now we can say we’ve seen everything in WWE because this isn’t something people (outside of maybe a middle school lunchroom) just choose to do.
