SummerSlam 2018: The Demon Is Back!

How do you solve a problem like “The Constable” Baron Corbin? Other than figuring out a way to get Stephanie McMahon to fire him, Finn Balor has seemingly had the answer to that question for weeks—he did beat Corbin at the Extreme Rules pay-per-view, after all—but Constable Corbin just wouldn’t accept anything other than the concept that bigger is inherently better. Having taken Balor after a tag team match (of which Corbin was on the losing side) the previous Monday on RAW, Corbin was coming into SummerSlam with the ultimate momentum. And he was absolutely ready to prove his point correct.

Unfortunately for Corbin, his point didn’t feature the return of The Demon, Finn Balor’s alter ego. After growing more and more frustrated with Balor’s tendency to smile and laugh his way through all the obstacles Corbin has been throwing his way, you would think Corbin would be more appreciative of the fact that he didn’t have to face a smiling version of Balor at SummerSlam. Instead, he felt… What’s the opposite of “Too Sweet?”
