Ronda Makes Her WrestleMania Choice

Jason Nawara

We’ve been waiting since Monday Night RAW for Ronda Rousey to make her WrestleMania 2022 decision after winning the Royal Rumble. After days of waiting, we finally got it at SmackDown.

The Powers That Be waited until the final minutes of the show to have Sonya Deville and Charlotte Flair step out and tell us just who Ronda would choose as her semi-ritualistic sacrifice at WrestleMania, and it wasn’t who many expected.

It was Becky… according to Sonya Deville, at least. Becky told her that she had a contract to fight Ronda at WrestleMania. This led to Charlotte Flair taking the mic and explaining that she knew why Ronda chose Becky: “Mom vs. Mom is an easier route.”

Then Ronda’s music hit. All smiles, she explained that Charlotte Flair is at the top of “Ronda’s Revenge List.” So, the choice was made pretty darn clear:

“I’ll see you at WrestleMania, bitch.”

Ronda Rousey

After a few words back and forth, Ronda looked ready to beat Charlotte’s ass then and there. It seems like Ronda still has Survivor Series 2018 on her mind. But before it could get physical between the old foes, Deville hopped on Ronda’s back and tried to choke her… or at least stop her from attacking the (current) Smackdown Women’s Champion. This led to the expected outcome:

So what does this mean for Becky Lynch and the RAW brand over the next few months? Will Ronda be bouncing between brands and laying waste to everyone, or are we just gonna see a special focus on over the next couple of months until we head into WrestleMania? It seems like the latter. Charlotte is Ronda Enemy No. 1.

Holy crap, Ronda holds a grudge.
