NXT: Shayna Baszler’s Unimpressed By Mia Yim’s Story and Challenge

“…[R]ecently, ‘The HBIC’ Mia Yim has called you out. Now, do you have any words for her?”

It looks like “The Queen of Spades” Shayna Baszler has accepted “The HBIC” Mia Yim’s challenge for “the biggest target in NXT,” her NXT Women’s Championship. But she’s certainly not impressed by Yim’s whole life story about overcoming adversity and hardship to make it to NXT. In fact, Baszler doesn’t seem too impressed by Yim at all.

“Look, she’s got a great story: pulled herself up from the streets, came from nothing. But it’s the most common story in fighting. You hear it all the time. ‘If I didn’t find this sport, I’d be in jail!’ It’s gonna take a little more than a great story to impress me. Besides—when you’re in the ring across from me, the story always ends the same.”

And how exactly did Baszler say it would end? Well, as we know from her time as NXT Women’s Champion, there are only really three options on the table:

“Tap, nap, snap.”
