Ronda Rousey has officially broken Alexa Bliss’ record as the longest-reigning RAW Women’s Champion ever. Alexa made the record (223 days) during her second reign as RAW Women’s Champion, losing the title to Nia Jax in her fifth televised defense.

Today—March 31, 2019—marks the 224th day of Ronda’s reign as the champ, a reign that began at SummerSlam 2018 when she ended Alexa Bliss’ third title reign. Since that title win, Ronda’s wrestled 10 televised title defenses, with the 11th coming in the form of the WrestleMania 35 main event next Sunday.

In honor of this record-breaking occasion, let’s take a look back at Ronda’s title defenses over these past 224 days.

Hell in a Cell 2018 | September 16, 2018, at the AT&T Center (San Antonio, TX) | vs. Alexa Bliss

“While Bliss has Alicia Fox and Mickie James on her side—as back-up, not just to tower over her—Rousey has Natalya. It may not be strength in numbers, but at least Rousey won’t have to worry about Natalya ever throwing her to the wolves (but that’s a point for later in the match).”

Nikki Bella, Ronda Rousey, Brie Bella (source: WWE)

Evolution 2018 | October 28, 2018, at Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum (New York, NY) | vs. Nikki Bella

“While Nikki Bella is an accomplished wrestler (and honestly a threat) in her own right, going into this match, the RAW Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey was the obvious favorite.”

Mickie James, Ronda Rousey (source: WWE)

Monday Night RAW | November 19, 2018, at Staples Center (Los Angeles, CA)| vs. Mickie James

“It was obvious before the starting bell that something was off. The fire in Ronda’s eyes wasn’t cooled by the cold front in the air, but her connection with the only true friend she’s had since setting foot in the WWE ring.”

Ronda Rousey, Nia Jax (source: WWE)

TLC: Tables, Ladders, & Chairs 2018 | December 16, 2018, at SAP Center (San Jose, CA) | vs. Nia Jax

“Tonight at WWE’s annual TLC: Tables, Ladders, & Chairs pay-per-view, Nia Jax finally had the opportunity to prove that she is in fact “Ronda Rousey’s nightmare.” Jax certainly didn’t make things easy for the RAW Women’s Champion, as she, of course, had Tamina in her corner for this match.”

Ronda Rousey, Natalya (source: WWE)

Monday Night RAW | December 24, 2018, at Golden 1 Center (Sacramento, CA) | vs. Natalya

“Rousey immediately attempted to take out her frustrations on Mickie with a series of rapid-fire strikes, but she must’ve forgotten that Mickie’s got her fair share of frustrations too—wouldn’t you if you still weren’t getting the respect you deserved as a living wrestling legend?—as evidenced by the kicks she soon hit Rousey with.”

Ronda Rousey, Sasha Banks (source: WWE)

Royal Rumble 2019 | January 27, 2019, at Chase Field (Phoenix, AZ) | vs. Sasha Banks

“Obviously, heading into this match, there was no love lost between either woman, but from the moment bell rang, it was on. Heated offense lead into straight up mockery—they both did each other’s poses, because respect is honestly right out the window at this point.”

Ronda Rousey, Bayley (source: WWE)

Monday Night RAW | January 28, 2019, at Talking Stick Resort Arena (Phoenix, AZ) | vs. Bayley

“And so, it was on.”

Ronda Rousey, Ruby Riott (source: WWE)

Elimination Chamber 2019 | February 17, 2019, at Toyota Center (Houston, TX) | vs. Ruby Riott

“Once the bell rang, Ruby immediately came for Ronda, trying not to give the champ any space. But she did, and as soon as Ronda started with the offense, Ruby decided to regroup on the outside. In fact, after that, Ruby’s entire strategy became avoiding Ronda at all costs. But that strategy didn’t last too long.”

Ronda Rousey, Ruby Riott (source: WWE)

Monday Night RAW | February 18, 2019, at Canjundome (Lafayette, LA) | vs. Ruby Riott

“It became apparent that this was a different encounter from Elimination Chamber. Sure, it was basically a lumberjack match with the stable outside doing everything they could to get one of the wrestlers to lost, but Riott learned some lessons.”

Ronda Rousey, Dana Brooke (source: WWE)

Monday Night RAW | March 18, 2019, at Allstate Arena (Chicago, IL) | vs. Dana Brooke

“As for Dana Brooke, it looks like her nightmare became a reality tonight.”
