Becky Lynch & Charlotte Flair: Mind Games & Handouts

On Sunday at Fastlane, Becky Lynch finally secured her spot in the match for the RAW Women’s Championship match at WrestleMania with help from interference by Ronda Rousey.

On SmackDown the following Tuesday, Lynch entered the arena and told the crowd that this happened because she had psyched out Rousey into helping her. “Do you know how hard it is to play mind games on a woman with no brain,” she asked. Lynch then vowed, “I’ll repay you at WrestleMania by taking your title and ripping your arm off. I am reclaiming everything they tried to take from me and give to someone else.”

At these words, Charlotte Flair—the woman who “they,” aka the McMahons, had previously tried to give that title match and was defeated by DQ at Fastlane—appeared. The self-proclaimed “Golden Girl” sarcastically congratulated Lynch for making it into the main event along with her and Rousey and belittled her rival’s accomplishments in favor of her own, saying, “It’s one thing to be hot for six months, but I’ve been hot for four years. That’s why I was chosen. I was chosen to get the job done.”

Lynch countered by saying that while, yeah, Flair ruled the women’s division for years, as soon as Lynch was on top, the women got the main event. “The Man” pointed at the WrestleMania sign with a calm smile while Flair looked on angrily. She hasn’t won the title yet, but she seemed to have won this verbal altercation.
