Just in case the last video was the wrong side for you, don’t worry: Ronda has got your back. Or in this case, your grips. Just follow the same steps as before and watch Ronda set it up from the opposite side.


Here are the main things:

1. Strong side (arm & leg) forward.

Step into the stance that’s natural. If the right isn’t well, right for you, then use your left. We want you to be comfortable and confident during your judo time so you can throw better.

2. Grip hand with sleeve to outside.

Snatch that collar up and grab underneath the nearest sleeve of your opponent or partner. Make sure to turn the sleeve up for more control and to prevent counters.


Enough gripping. Are you ready for some throws now? Are your fingers still taped up nice and tight? Then let’s move on to the osoto gari
