Ronda and Natalya Have an Impromptu Match After Liv Agrees to Defend the Title at SummerSlam

Rowdy Staff

We are just under a week removed from Liv Morgan cashing in her Money in the Bank contract and defeating Ronda Rousey for the SmackDown Women’s Championship. (After a hard-fought match against Natalya, of course.) In the time since, it’s been a victory parade for Liv, who Ronda herself said deserved the title and the accolades.

When Liv came out with Michael Cole to discuss her recent win, the crowd chanted “you deserve it”—which nobody can deny, except for Natalya. In fact, Natalya said that the only reason Liv was able to defeat our Rowdy One was because she (Natalya) injured Ronda in the match minutes prior. This cued Joan Jett.

Ronda came out wearing a cool Dragonball Z Trunks SmackDown blue jacket (with matching eyeshadow) to remind Liv that defending a title is a lot harder than challenging… and then asked the live Fort Worth crowd if she should beat the crap out of Natalya.

Then, chaos once again broke out:

Nattie goes after Ronda, Liv chucks Nattie out of the ring, and when we’re back from commercial break, we’ve got ourselves an impromptu match-up with Ronda still in her leisurewear.

After a surprising amount of Nattie running away from the hobbled Ronda, our former SmackDown Women’s Champ was finally able to grab hold of Nattie. By the way, Nattie also didn’t seem 100% after their match last week, so when Ronda locked in an ankle lock, she was easily able to get the tap.

Is this the end of Nattie and Ronda’s feud? Who knows, but for now, it looks like we’re getting Ronda vs. Liv at SummerSlam even if Ronda has a bum knee.
