Bad Blood Boils Over Between Shayna Baszler and Bianca Belair Before NXT TakeOver

In just over a week, Shayna Baszler will defend her NXT Women’s Championship against the UN-DE-FEA-TED Bianca Belair. Both women seem completely unstoppable, but at NXT TakeOver: Phoenix, there has to be a winner. On this week’s NXT, Belair made her way to the ring to let the champ know that her time is up, and that “The EST of NXT” is ready to claim the gold she believes is rightfully hers.

All the talking brought out Baszler, with Jessamyn Duke and Marina Shafir by her side. Even outnumbered, Belair didn’t back down. She stood toe-to-toe with the champ as Baszler ran her down. Baszler admitted that Belair’s fast and strong and talented, but she was also quick to note that Belair’s too dumb to compete with her:

“If you had half a brain, you’d realize it doesn’t matter how big and strong your arms are, I’m going to tear them off at NXT TakeOver: Phoenix.”

It was a stirring segment, with both women showing they have no fear going into the title match. Belair promised to hold the title high, while Baszler said she’s going to change Belair from “undefeated to overrated.” Belair got the last laugh though, laying a slap on Baszler, ducking a kick from Duke, and then exiting to the ramp. Belair thinks she’s made her mark, that she’s in Baszler’s head now, but there’s a good chance she just angered “The Queen of Spades.” You don’t want to anger “The Queen of Spades.”

In just over a week we’ll see these two throw down in the ring for the NXT Women’s Championship. It can’t come soon enough.
