Edmen Shahbazyan Ran Through Jack Marshman at UFC 239 in Just Over a Minute

You may not know the name Edmen Shahbazyan yet, but there are at least nine opponents who won’t forget it. After his UFC 239 fight tonight, that number just keeps growing. 21-year-old Shahbazyan just beat vet Jack Marshman (23-8), catapulting himself to an undefeated 10-fight win streak with three wins straight in the UFC.

“He’s a tough guy. He’s more of a stand-up fighter. I just see a lot of openings in his game that I can capitalize on,” Shahbazyan told the OCR before UFC 239. “I think he thinks I’m a one-dimensional guy, but a lot of people don’t know that I have all the skills in the game. Every fight I come to show it.”

Born the same year Joe Rogan started working for the UFC, this dude has been a student of the MMA madness his entire life and it shows. Shahbazyan blitzed through Marshman like he did Dana White’s Contender Series and tapped him with a rear-naked choke. So, the question is what’s next for this youthful warrior as the hype train whistles in the distance? A jump in the rankings and back to the drawing board.

“Gotta’ dream bigger. That’s the goal. “It’s very doable. If I keep going like this, it’ll happen,” Shahbazyan said. “This is my life. That’s why I constantly keep learning and improving. That’s it. After every fight, we’re just constantly evolving, evolving, evolving.”
