Ronda Rousey to Recur in Season 3 of Ryan Murphy’s ‘9-1-1’

First, it was tables. Now? It looks like it might just be stretchers. And to think: Extreme Rules happened only a month ago.

As reported by Deadline, Ronda Rousey will be recurring on the upcoming season of the Angela Bassett-led FOX drama 9-1-1 this fall. Season three of 9-1-1—co-created and executive produced by Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk, and Tim Minear—will center on the aftermath of a tsunami hitting Santa Monica.

And that’s where “The Baddest Woman on the Planet” comes in: Ronda is playing Lena Bosko, a firefighter who’s part of the rescue efforts for the disaster. Deadline’s report describes the character as “a stoic and fearless member of the Los Angeles Fire Department Station 136 who leaps into action to save lives when a disaster hits.”

9-1-1‘s third season premieres on Monday, September 23 at 8 PM ET.
